We have several forms of sponsorship programmes for which we seek sponsors on a continuous basis, namely: -
SCHOOL FEE SPONSORSHIPS FOR ORPHANED CHILDREN. Such unfortunate young people are often lucky to find shelter and basic food and other daily necessitiesin local orphanages. There is usually little or no money available for those childrens' education.
Donations of US-Dollars 15.00 per month per child will be sufficient to cover school fees, purchases of educational material and local transportation to and from school.
SCHOOL FEE SPONSORSHIPS FOR CHILDREN OF DESTITUTE FAMILIES. In principle, such sponsorships work along the same lines as described above, with the difference that here the families cannot afford school fees and related costs due to insufficient incomes. Again, US-Dollars 15.00 per month per child will be enough to amend the situation.
SPONSORSHIP FOR INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES. We select special hardship cases where the breadwinner has had an accident or has fallen ill, with the consequence of a partial or total loss of income and the family getting destitute. Sponsorships can differ between one-off payments for medical treatments or equipments or long-term support such as described above, or a combination of both.

The followwing children's clothes for girls and boys from age 3 to age 9 are needed urgently fo distribution to the needy in Sri Lanka: 100% cotton T-shirts and shorts / trousers; vests and briefs; socks.

We appreciate your donations of used children's and adult books, fiction or non-ficition. We will sell these on the quarterly fela markets taking place at Discovery Bay Plaza. Incidentally, the next DB Flea Market will take place on April 11, 2010, from 12 noon till 5:00 PM. Look out for our booth!
